the McNair Scholars Program is now accepting applications for the upcoming 25-26 academic year. As a vital member of our academic community, your support in identifying and encouraging eligible students to apply is greatly appreciated. About the McNair Scholars Program: The McNair Scholars Program is designed to prepare undergraduate students for doctoral studies through involvement in research and other scholarly activities. This program targets first-generation and low-income students and/or members of groups that are underrepresented in graduate education. Key Benefits: Mentorship from faculty members and experienced researchers. Opportunities to conduct research and present findings at national conferences. Workshops and seminars focused on graduate school preparation, including GRE prep and application assistance. Eligibility Requirements: U.S. citizenship or permanent residency. Current enrollment as an undergraduate student. Sophomore, Junior or Senior with a minimum GPA of 2.75 or 3.0 in the last 60 credit hours​. Students can apply as freshman and start in the fall as a sophomore. First-generation and low-income students and/or a member of an underrepresented group in graduate education. Application deadline is March 31.
