This is the third year of the IPG’s Alumni Showcase and on April 17th we welcome Andrew Gilstrap (BA 2007, MM 2010) who will perform Ney Rosauro’s Vibraphone Concerto. We will also feature two of our graduating students; I Cheng Che, who will perform Alex Orfaly’s brand new piece Danzon Luna for solo timpani and chamber ensemble, and Jared Hurn who will join me performing David Mancini’s Suite for Drum Set which we’re calling “Dueling Drum Sets”.
The IPG will also perform the Amadinda Percussion Groups version of Ravel’s Mother Goose Suite with comic relief from Maya Grossman.
