Sign number 1: Finding Social Data 10.1

Join University Libraries from 12-1 pm Friday, October 1 via Zoom to learn about how to find social data. To register and receive the zoom link, visit libraries.wichita.edu/savvyscholar.

Sign number 2: AAC Virtual Career Fair

AAC Career Fair October 28, 2021 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. (CDT) Virtually Via Career Eco Students and alumni of all degree levels, class levels, and ALL majors have an exciting opportunity to visit employers hiring for full-time and part-time positions, internships, and co-op positions locally and throughout the nation at the AAC Career Fair.

Sign number 4: Shocker Running Club Kick-off

Get out for some fresh air and exercise by joining the Shocker Running Club. This is geared for all level of runners and is a great way to socialize with your fellow Shockers. Contact cmevans1@shockers.wichita.edu for more information.

Sign number 5: TRIO

The TRIO Disability Support Services (DSS) program is a federally funded program that assists and advocates for undergraduate students with disabilities through academic support, resources and services, enabling them to persist and graduate from Wichita State University. Sign number 6: Meals on Wheels

Deliver meals with the Community Service Board and Meals on Wheels. For more information visit wichita.edu/csbvolunteer. Meals on Wheels of Wichita volunteers will meet at Senior Services of Wichita, 200 s. Walnut, Wichita, for a brief orientation and guidance on delivering food according to proper social distancing guidelines. Volunteers will meet at 10:30 a.m. on September 17th, October 15th and November 12th. They will then be given addresses and food for delivery. Volunteers must have reliable transportation. Volunteer shifts should end by 1pm. All service events may be cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions released by the university. Volunteers will be notified if the event is cancelled. Sign number 7: Film Screening: Paris Is Burning

Join our LGBTQ+ Ambassadors in the screening of critically-acclaimed documentary, PARIS IS BURNING. Filmed in the mid-to-late 1980s, it chronicles the ball culture of New York City and the African-American, Latino, gay, and transgender communities involved in it.

Sign number 8: United Way GIV Warehouse

Volunteer with the United Way and the Community Service Board at the GIV Warehouse. For more information visit wichita.edu/csbvolunteer. Volunteers will meet at the United Way GIV Warehouse to sort and organize items so that they may be given to local nonprofits. Volunteer dates are as follows: September 10, October 15, November 5 from 2:30-4:30pm.

Sign number 10: Cosmic Bowling

Turn the lights down and the music up for some cosmic bowling at the Shocker Sports Grill & Lanes! From 5-10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights, enjoy cosmic bowling for just $2.50 per person, per game. Shoe rental not included.

Sign number 11: Wu's Big Event

Join WSU's largest one day volunteer event! Join the Community Service Board for Wu's Big Event on October 2nd. All volunteers will receive a free t-shirt, lunch and transportation to and from events. For more information visit wichita.edu/BigEvent
