Shocker Leadership Experience

Looking for an engagement experience you can’t find on campus? Look no further than the Shocker Leadership Experience. SLE is a FREE 5-day, 4-night overnight experience at Rock Springs 4-H Ranch in Junction City, Kansas from Monday, May 19 through Friday, May 23 (week after semester ends). SLE engages participants in leadership knowledge and skill development facilitated in both large and small groups, and also through numerous interactive activities. This program is great for all students, regardless of their leadership experience. Topics include: Personality and Leadership, Leading through Conflict, Building Community/Belonging, Leadership Power and Influence, and Living and Leading through Purpose. Biomedical Engineering Ethics course this Fall

The future is already here. Let's work well together. The course PHIL 386 Biomedical Engineering Ethics in Fall 2025 will include the BMES Code of Ethics, benchside research integrity, IRBs and clinical trials, HIPAA and data integrity, IACUC and animal subjects, tissue engineering, implants and wearables, drug delivery, biomolecular machines, (epi)genetic engineering, transhumanism, posthumanism, cases from the headlines, and student-chosen topics. Summer 2026 European Travel Seminar

Tentative dates are Sunday, May 18 to 27, 2026. Visit three countries: France, Italy and Spain. Classes: Comm 398 for 1 or 3 credit hours or Comm 660AB course option for grad students. Led by professor Eric Wilson. Open to all WSU students – undergraduate and graduate. Honors students can earn credit toward honors requirements with the three-credit option. The program fee includes all flights; triple- or quad-occupancy rooms; inter-city travel; full-time tour director and local guides; all activities on the itinerary; and international health insurance. The program fee is approximately $4,910. It excludes personal expenses, baggage fees, and tuition. Scholarships available. The deadline to apply is Monday, Nov. 17, 2025. WSU Creative Writing Graduates Reading at the Ulrich Museum

Four 2025 WSU Creative Writing graduates will give readings of their work at this Writing Now | Reading Now event on Saturday, May 17. Delta Gamma's annual Lectureship series in partnership with College of Health Professions presents Jared Estes. Jared Estes is a motivational speaker who had to overcome a tragic accident in his early adult life. His story inspires hundreds every year. The College of Engineering invites all to attend its annual Engineering Open House from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, May 9 at Charles Koch Arena. Between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., senior engineering and computing students will present prototype solutions throughout the concourse.
