The College of Engineering invites all to attend its annual Engineering Open House from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, May 9 at Charles Koch Arena. Between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., senior engineering and computing students will present prototype solutions throughout the concourse. From the end of student presentations until 7 p.m., there will be hors d’oeuvres and refreshments served, as well as an awards ceremony.

You will not want to miss the last event in the Rie Bloomfield Organ 24-25 Series, the Wednesdays in Wiedemann Annual Organ POPS with Lynne Davis concert to be held on Wednesday, May 7 at 5:15 pm in Wiedemann Hall on the great Marcussen organ. The Organ is the star of this event as it is heard as both a solo and collaborative instrument, performing with two School of Music voice students, trumpet professor, David Hunsicker, rising star, Aidan Hill and as a surprise – the Shocker Sound Machine directed by Lucas Hulett. Complete with a drum line and the whole band ensemble onstage with the organ. Who is going to be the loudest? Sign up to volunteer for the iCanBike and iCanSwim camps held on the WSU main campus later this summer Monday, July 28 through Friday, Aug. 1. This is a great chance to experience working with individuals with disabilities as they learn to swim or ride a bicycle. Volunteers come once daily for 60-75 minutes to support a swimmer as they learn how to enjoy the water and swim or to run alongside a rider as they learn to ride a bicycle. So, take a break and attend a sporting event, performance, and attend any events during DeStress Fest from May5-9 at various locations on campus.
Tentative dates are Sunday, May 18 to 27, 2026. Visit three countries: France, Italy and Spain. Classes: Comm 398 for 1 or 3 credit hours or Comm 660AB course option for grad students. Led by professor Eric Wilson. Open to all WSU students – undergraduate and graduate. Honors students can earn credit toward honors requirements with the three-credit option. The program fee includes all flights; triple- or quad-occupancy rooms; inter-city travel; full-time tour director and local guides; all activities on the itinerary; and international health insurance. The program fee is approximately $4,910. It excludes personal expenses, baggage fees, and tuition. Scholarships available. The deadline to apply is Monday, Nov. 17, 2025.
