EXTENDED: Faculty/staff can schedule annual health appointments at Student Health

Student Health Services is still able to offer current WSU faculty and staff the ability to schedule their HealthQuest physical exam and lab work until Monday, Dec. 1. If you do not have a primary care provider and currently have private insurance through your employment with WSU, call to schedule your appointment with Student Health providers at 316-978-4792.

Study Abroad Program: Summer 2026, Paraguay, Honors Service-Learning

Visit Asuncion, Paraguay from Friday, May 23 to Saturday, June 6, 2026. Program Highlights include learning from locals about Paraguayan culture and observing multiple nonprofits and schools. Undergraduate Course: Paraguay Travel Seminar (HNRS 398 for 1 or 3 credits). Graduate Course: Global Leadership (LEAD 751B for 3 credits). Application Deadline is Monday, Nov. 17. Shocker Store Brand Ambassador Application Open

Students, do you love Wichita State? Do you love new Shocker gear? Do you enjoy creating engaging Instagram content? If so, apply to become a Shocker Store Brand Ambassador. Selected students will work with the Shocker Store to use Instagram and other avenues to increase student knowledge of Shocker Store products, services and more. Phirst Phriday Kickback

Come start the new school year with a bang with the Brothers of Delta Mu. Our Phirst Phriday Kickback is a chance to unwind from first week stress and connect with your fellow students. Civic Canvases: A Monthly Mural Series

Civic Canvases is a monthly, hands-on mural series where students reflect, create, and contribute to a monthly evolving mural. This activity will be held each month from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on the RSC main floor. Dates and themes are as follows: Thursday, August 21st "Canvas of Community"; Thursday, September 11th "This Is What Moves Us"; Thursday, October 9th "Voices in Action"; and Thursday, November 13th "Moments that Matter". No sign-up necessary just show up and join!

WSU General Dentistry

SAC’s Foam Drop Dance Party

Dive into the new semester with bubbles, beats and good vibes at the Student Activities Council's (SAC) Foam Party. This grand finale event to wrap up RSC Day and Shocker Night will offer a DJ, foam cannons, an indoor photo booth and yard games to welcome students back to campus start the year off with great energy. So wear something you don't mind getting wet and get ready to party under the stars. This event is Thursday, Aug. 21 from 8 to 11 p.m. on the RSC East Patio. It is recommended to only bring necessary items and leave bags at home as there will not be a place to store personal items at this event. The Student Activities Council, Student Engagement and Belonging office and the Rhatigan Student Center are not responsible or liable for any lost or stolen personal items.

Engineering and IT Career Fair

Shocker Volleyball Black and Yellow Scrimmage

Shocker fans can get a first-look at this year's team at our Black and Yellow Scrimmage Saturday, August 23rd at 3:00 PM in Charles Koch Arena. The event is free to attend and fans can participate in a meet and greet on the court after the scrimmage is over.

RSVP to participate in the 11th Annual Clash of the Colleges

Clash of the Colleges is back and will be taking place Friday, Aug. 22 at 7pm at Eck Stadium. Those interested in attending must RSVP by going to www.wichita.edu/clash.

Shocker Volleyball Classic

Join us at the Shocker Volleyball Classic as Wichita State takes on Kennesaw State and Arkansas Friday, Aug. 29 and Sunday Sunday, Aug. 31. First serve Friday against the Owls is at 7PM and Sunday against the Razorbacks at 1PM.

HealthHum Open House

The Academic Center for Biomedical and Health Humanities is hosting an open house 1 to 3 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 29 in Lindquist Hall, room 528. Join us in Centering Humanity in Health and Medicine. This event is free and open to the public.

14 Hours of Fun at RSC Day Shocker Night

Start off the semester with 14 hours of events, activities, prizes and more during RSC Day Shocker Night. From 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM on Thursday, August 21st, the RSC will have 20+ activities for students to kick off the semester, including a balloon artist, live music, free t-shirts, video game tournaments, and a foam party.
