Ghost Hunter Chris Moon and Paranormal Investigator, will present a session on the ins and outs of the paranormal and then lead a ghost hunt across campus with a select number of participants. He has been on truTV’s “Door to the Dead”, NBC “Today’s Show”, and numerous radio talk shows around the world. Bruce Tulgan will be giving an educational seminar on the Great Generational Shift on November 13th from 1:00-5:00 PM in the Hyatt Regency Ballroom. Spook the Halls is an event put on by the Community Development Specialists here at Wichita State. The goal of the event is to bring in children in the Wichita community to have a guided trick-or-treating event through the residence halls. Dine and Dialogue is Wednesday October 10th from 6-7:30 in RSC 266. This event will provide free dinner while students, faculty and staff discuss the themes found in this year’s WSU Reads book, Just Mercy by Bryan Stevenson.

The newest Shocker Store location in Wichita State University’s retail area, Braeburn Square, will have its grand opening from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. on Saturday, September 29. Our annual event, Game of Life will be held on 25th of September 2018 from 10.30am – 1pm at Hubbard Hall, South Lobby. It’s being adapted from the Reality U program that is put on by Communities in Schools and also the board game “The Game of Life”. The event will be as if the student’s life is 10 years in the future and they will make decisions on what their circumstances will be. They will choose their career and be given the average salary and that’s the “money” they have to spend.

Our annual event, Game of Life will be held on 25th of September 2018 from 10.30am – 1pm at Hubbard Hall, South Lobby. It’s being adapted from the Reality U program that is put on by Communities in Schools and also the board game “The Game of Life”. The event will be as if the student’s life is 10 years in the future and they will make decisions on what their circumstances will be. They will choose their career and be given the average salary and that’s the “money” they have to spend.

University Libraries (UL) can make your life easier, especially when it comes to doing library research. Come to the “Library Tips and Tools for Grad Students” workshop to learn about library resources that help you avoid article charges, the EndNote software program provided by the UL that reduces the effort required to format research papers and citations, technology equipment such as iPads and portable projectors that you can borrow, subject librarians who are available for individual and group consultations, and much more. This workshop is available Tuesday, August 28 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Thursday, August 30, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in Room 217 of the Ablah Library.
Want to learn more about University Libraries? Attend one of our “Navigating University Libraries” tours during Welcomefest! One will be held on Wednesday, August 29 from 4:00 PM-5:00 PM. Another will be held Friday, August 31 from 12:00PM-1:00PM. The tour begins by the Circulation Desk on the main floor of Ablah Library followed by an orientation to online services and collections in 217 Ablah. Services include wireless network, 3D scanning and printing, and other technology.
