Writing Now/Reading Now series presents Yannick Murphy. She is the author of ten books-novels, short stories, and picture books. The event will be on Thursday, November 9 at the Ulrich Museum of Art. Reception begins at 5:30 p.m. and reading begins at 6 p.m. Admission is free admission and open to the public.
Student Activities Council presents Family Movie on Friday, November 11th at 3 p.m. in RSC 3rd floor, Beggs Ballroom. This event is free for students with Shocker ID. EPICS in IEEE at WSU in collaboration with EECS Department Student Honor Society, IEEE-HKN, is looking for volunteers to work on an Engineering community service project building Ride on Cars for Children with Disabilities. This project is funded by the EPICS in IEEE program. As a part of this IEEE-HKN will be organizing a community build on the 4th of November 2017, where we will be building ten cars.

SAVE THE DATE FOR THE 2017 AD ASTRA CONFERENCE! The Ad Astra Conference brings first-generation students from universities across Kansas together for a common experience with a desired outcome of greater persistence to graduation and a better prepared Kansas workforce. This conference is a two-day event where first-generation college students across the state meet each other, share common challenges and opportunities and get information about how to better understand the college experience and society. This conference is scheduled to be held again at Wichita State University from Friday, November 3 to Saturday, November 4. More details and registration will be released at a later date.
