Wichita State’s Student Government Association presents Social Safety Week, happening November 10 through 13 on the first floor of the Rhatigan Student Center. The week features interactive events focused on health, safety, and wellness. On Monday, learn practical strategies for responsible drinking and safe socializing during Sip Safely: Alcohol Awareness with University Police. On Tuesday, stop by Student Health Services for Treat Yourself, Get Vaccinated to receive a flu shot, a wellness kit, and some candy. On Wednesday, join the Sexual Health and Wellness event to talk about consent and respect, get free STI testing, and enjoy an ice cream sundae bar while learning how to live and love well. On Thursday, the Substance Use Awareness session with the CARE Team will cover Narcan education and ways to recognize, respond to, and prevent substance-related emergencies. Social Safety Week is all about staying informed, making responsible decisions, and supporting one another in building a safer, healthier campus community.
