Honor the 25th anniversary of 9/11 at Wichita State University's first campus-wide Day of Service and Remembrance on Friday, Sept. 11. Kickoff is 8 a.m. in the Rhatigan Student Center atrium. On-campus service opportunities include the Fairmount Park cleanup, a Touch a Truck event, dental hygiene kit assembly, creating fleece blankets as an all-day event, the Shocker Support Locker and a Simply Hygiene packing party. Off-campus opportunities include the 9/11 Commemoration Ceremony, the Urban League of Kansas, the United Way GIV Warehouse and the 9/11 Day Relay. Register at wichita.edu/dayofservice.
