August 20, from 6-8 p.m. at the Heskett Center, join Campus Recreation and Wellness Services for a welcome to campus with Recfest! This is a FREE event open to students, faculty, and staff, this event showcases all the programs and services we offer, plus free t-shirts! 

All graduate students are invited to the Fall Welcome Back Party! Kick-off the new school year with the Graduate School, the Office of Student Success, and Student Involvement for bowling, billiards, snacks, and socializing at Shocker Sports Grill and Lanes in the basement of the Rhatigan Student Center on Thursday, August 15, 5:00-7:00 p.m.

Join Student Activities Council on August 15th at 9 p.m. at the Duerksen Amphitheatre as we host a showing of Avengers: Endgame for our outdoor movie event!

Come join Preventing Suicide training provided by Counseling and Prevention Services On August 23 at 10:30 a.m. and learn more about how to prevent suicide in our community. This training is part of the #WSUWeSupportU campaign and covers signs that someone may need additional support, how to start conversations with people who may need help, and the resources that are available both at WSU and in the community. 

The Shocker Sports Grill & Lanes is kicking off the fall semester with some great deals! From August 19–30, we’re offering $2 hot dogs and FREE billiards all day, every day! The free billiards offer requires at least one Shocker ID Card per group. We’re excited to start another great year in the SSGL!

Autism Spectrum Support Group, 4-5 p.m., Wednesdays in RSC 007, August 21 through September 18, 2019. For WSU and WSUTech students. Start the semester with a community of support. Connect with other students on the spectrum, build a social group, and learn skills to promote your social and academic success. NO APPOINTMENT NEEDED! Hope to see you there!

Join Counseling and Prevention Services again this semester for Keep Calm & Breathe On! Build structured relaxation time into your life and learn techniques to do relaxation on your own. You will be led in meditation, mindfulness and relaxation practices. The meetings are every Wednesday from 12:15-12:45 p.m. in RSC 257. Stop by the Rhatigan Student Center every Wednesday for the live music series, RSC Unplugged. RSC Unplugged for Wednesday, August 21 features Miguel Antonio from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. in the RSC’s Starbucks Lounge. Grab a cup of coffee and relax with some great music! 

Join the Rhatigan Student Center and University Dining Services for their Kick-Off Concert to start out the school year! Local band Annie Up will be providing the tunes and there will be free refreshments, so stop on by! Monday, August 19 from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. in the RSC East Courtyard.

Stop by the Shocker Sports Grill & Lanes in August to try their Burger of the Month- the Hot Hammy! The burger is topped with two slices of ham, pepper jack cheese, jalapenos, onions, and fire ranch.
