- Coach Wise sits down with local music artist, Adam Capps. Adam grew up listening to music from a wide variety of artists from Queen to Alan Jackson and everything in between. During his attendance at Wichita State University, where he was an accomplished track athlete, he earned a degree in Spanish and Education. He used that degree to begin his first job as a high school Spanish teacher. During the last couple years of college he started performing at smaller venues and parties and gained a following in his hometown of Wichita, Ks. It wasn't until the age of 24 that Adam had the aspirations to pursue a music career.
In this episode, Coach Wise and Adam talk about making a living as a performance artist and how track and field helped forge the discipline to work in such a demanding industry. Coach Wise even gets a guitar lesson!
