On Monday, April 22, from 11 A.M. – 1 P.M. join Community Service Board at the Boys & Girls Club to staff a variety of stations for youth members to participate in walk-by service activities such as dog toy making for the Kansas Humane Society, animal stuffing for the Wichita Children’s Home and Ronald McDonald House, and other giving back interactive activities. The annual Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity Forum (URCAF) will be held on Friday, April 19, in the Rhatigan Student Center. You’re invited! Alive is the Senior Exhibition of seven graduating artists with a BFA in Art, Studio Art degree from the School of ADCI at WSU. The work here represents examples from each artist’s Senior Project and is a distillation of ideas developed over several semesters of concentrated work. The works in this exhibition cover a wide variety of topics including a meditation on loss and healing, a reflection on ephemeral moments, a prediction of fashion informed by technology, and an engagement with inventive storytelling. A reception will be held November 30 from 4-6 p.m. in the McKnight Atrium and from 6-10 p.m. at the Shiftspace gallery. The exhibit will run from November 30 to December 14.
